Among many things, Bitcoin has CP in it. So basically, folks like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs & Co. got involved in distributing CP.
The layman may not be expected to keep up with all the discoveries of such things in tech journals, but banks have whole armies of employees who should have known better.
At some point, you can damn well bet some techie approached the uppers at the bank they were working for and told them of this risk and was ignored "because too much profit in muh Bitcoin"
