I wonder if Sarama will ever be able to get their project back from Burkina Faso. They were really done dirty. I'm currently re-reading their April 2023 presentation and man they got cucked to the tune of like three million ounces of high grade near surface oxides. They were just about to release a resource update and PEA when the Minister of mines just told them their concession application was "denied" even though it had already been approved years ago. The Minister then went on to say during a mining indaba that the concession is for sale lol. Clear example of the kind of corruption you see in Africa, though usually not something that affects mining or exploration companies.
Endeavour has a 100% owned project right along strike and in the adjacent mineral concession and their previous CEO was fired after allegedly making an irregular payment of $5.9M related to an asset disposal... I wonder if Mr. Montessus paid the Minister to illegally withdraw Sarama's permit. Funny little conspiracy theory.
In any case I kind of want to contact Sarama and speak to their boss a bit about the current state of the arbitration. They acquired a project in Australia following the whole ordeal which doesn't instill me with confidence. But I would really like to see somebody that I can invest in develop that project again, what a phenomenal deposit.
