This is something that will not only fix posting quality on /pol/ but most boards. People don't want to shitpost on /b/ anymore because they get ignored and overlooked.
The sheer amount of pornography is smothering out any sort of funny original threads to entertain people with and instead people are flooding boards like /v/, /pol/, /fit/, and /tv/ to shitpost and bait people 24 hours a day and the mods simply dish out 3 day bans that they get around and then go straight back to shitposting.
/b/ has changed over the years and it can change again. I propose some moderation on the pornography and possibly bring back IDs, maybe a sticky that encourages more people to dump porn on /trash/ instead so that people can have fun posting on the board again. (/bant/ has one of these and I think it's pretty effective).
After the board's been properly revitalized and fixed, announce it on all boards and have people flock there in mass numbers and see how well posting quality increases. Shitposters and trolls will spend more time there instead I can guarantee it.
Why would the staff not want to revitalize /b/ I mean come on it's the original board. Work to fix /b/ and you'll see just how much the site's quality improves.
