>>10123973Funnily enough, I got put into halls with terrible flatmates too. One was a posh English turbo-normie who was part of the yachting club (I'm Scottish and went to uni in Scotland) and we just had nothing in common. The other two were trainee primary school teachers from Fife who were rough as fuck and knew each other from school so they stuck together and barely talked to us.
I actually knew immediately that I was screwed unless I forced myself to make friends with people in neighbouring flats, so I just went to the downstairs party in fresher's week and noticed one of the guys was playing death metal on the ipod speakers and I struck up a conversation and from that point on I had a group of good friends for the rest of uni.
The sad part is I'm not friends with any of them now but for a while they were my best friends and we had so many good times together.
