1) They completely dropped the balls on the GPU industry when they were in the perfect position to capitalize on it decades ago.
2) They outsourced their foundry business which ended up being way more profitable than they expected and lost out on.
3) they didn't pull a Microsoft with innovating to different areas (Azure, etc) and instead just stagnated for ages on the CPU and only the CPU
And with them embracing DEI I don't see it changing
