Anybody who studies mythology and esoteric could plainly see how much of the Genesis story of the Jew's and their mystical practices were taken from sources that existed far longer than they could even write. They tried very hard to absorb Pythagoras and his teachings as their own, which is clearly much more recent than the teachings of Chaldean's and Egyptians that we can say without doubt he was the originator of certain aspects of Jewish mysticism.
