>Gold Fields to Acquire Osisko Mining for C$2.16 Billion
They're paying C$4.90/share, price right now is C$2.94. GFI is paying barely above the Feb 22 closing high, and a 67% premium to last closing price.
The main asset of the company is the Windfall project which is in Feasibility stage. Windfall has 4.1Moz Au @ 11.4gpt M&I (+3.3Moz Au @ 8.4gpt Inferred) resources and 3.2Moz Au @ 8.1gpt Au Probable reserves, and is expected to produce about 300koz Au on average at US$758/oz AISC and US$587/oz cash cost, for a 10y LOM. US$607M capex and C$1.8B NPV5%, 47.6% IRR after tax at US$2,000/oz Au. Clearly Gold Fields sees much more value at Windfall than what the Feasibility Study estimates.
