In general, these funds should beat the index in downward and flat markets but in return lose in a big up year due to capped upside, what is exciting about xdte/qdte is them beating their underlying in a year like 2024.
And right now it's winning in 2025 ytd as well.
Time will tell though. Nav decay may be an issue later.
