there isn't any real secret of why there was a ton of firing in 2022-23
it's how the fed controls inflation, it's literally their job. jack rates up so new hires/employees go down and hope you don't spike unemployment. the two things they look for are unemployment, and inflation. To lower inflation you increase unemployment. They intentionally shot the job market to lower inflation.
