even freaking kestrel died in ace combat 5 but it was an epic death for that ship. the kestrel captain admiral andersen, while listing/sinking, pushed out the razgriz squad as fast as it could and ordered abandon ship when they were all in the air. i think that sortie is what ended the war too.
if you remember AC7 last mission, that carrier that pushed out count and trigger for the final mission? that carrier is called admiral andersen, after kestrel's captain.
