Well, to be honest it was living in the car with my mother because no income - nobody seems to want to hire me or her - and it’s bloody difficult to stand out on an online resume, which every employer seems to demand that you apply online.
But she’s going in for an interview today, plus we got income tax returns, so hopefully that’ll lead to a job but I’ve learned to not trust hope. I’ve gotten several interviews but they all decided to move on to other candidates (and a lot of those jobs are still open last I checked), plus a lot of employers gatekeep with requirements of 3, 5, 10 years of experience which screws me and a lot of other young adults since I only have a year of retail and 1 year of painting experience. Like how am I supposed to get experience if everyone wants only experienced workers?
Anyone who tells you the American economy is good or even okay either doesn’t live here, is a retired boomer or underage zoomer, or is just lying.
