These wood frame OSB structures are unironically strong as hell.
The poor quality comes in with the shitty finishing - ugly vynil siding, crappy cabinets, cheap flooring, etc etc.
It would be better if these structures were poor, because then they would be re-build down the line.
Instead what will happen, is all these endless beige suburbs are going to start looking shitty, the minorities living in them will not maintain them properly, and they will turn into giant ghettos in a few decades.
The structures themselves will hold up, but everything around them will decay and become awful.
Mark my words, this is what will become of north america’s vynil siding suburbs.
