I went on a short trek through the woods and I saw a herd of seven or eight deer in the usual spot above the village, although I have never seen this many so close to the village. There was also a cat (unaffiliated to the aforementioned posse) closer to the village. Because there hasn't been a lot of snow during the winter, the deer paths that I use have been nicely settled in, they haven't been this dug-in for a while.
