>>16429912>>16424840idk who the master is, if thats from the original fallouts i never played those, but i looked up field hockey and it seems really retarded for me because of its field requirement, it needs a gigantic flat field that gives you enough grip to move without sliding but is smooth enough for the ball to roll freely, idk anything about football (soccer) so if you can comfortably play football on that field too then it's less retarded, basically i look at hockey as a derivative of football, strike ball into net, coordinate with your team to move ball, the biggest differences obviously are the ice and the sticks, now i wonder if hockey wasn't completely contrived and was created in a place that gets a lot of frozen areas, but anyway without going into that the skating on ice is really fun, yea, so does it still work if you remove the ice?
i think the answer is yes, you asked why anyone would want to play it, i think it's similar reasons why people prefer to play hockey over football, they prefer moving and striking the "ball" with a stick as opposed to just using their feet and legs, people grow up using their arms and hands to finely control things and only using their legs for locomotion so it makes sense, i like football's accessibility where you only need the ball but i could see people wanting to use their arms for sports too, so i think people play field hockey for all the reasons people play football and regular hockey, compared to soccer they get to use their arms for handling and striking, compared to regular hockey it has fewer requirements (icey arena, all the equipment)
also i never heard of this fucking sport before, is this a thing in turkey
