>>10570150I've been a vegetarian pretty much my whole life, but I started adding some meat into my diet 3 months ago or so.
I noticed a slight increase in energy when switching over, but my diet has normally been largely based around blue and soft-ripened cheese, so I already consumed lots of animal protein.
The thing that surprised me the most was how unimpressive the taste was overall; I expected that the umami to be really amazing, but it ended up being weaker than in even gouda.
Obviously there are lots of meat that tastes great, but even after tasting most common types nothing has really wowed me.
From a dietary standpoint however fish, chicken and turkey are just insanely good, so I'll be continuing eating those.
