>>13881863You are missing the context, anon. The world is a terrible and fallen place. Terrible thing can and will happen here, and Christians aren't exempt from that. However, we have peace in the hope and promise that our souls are saved, and that any hardships we endure on this earth are a flash, a passing instant, in the grand scheme of things and the eternity that awaits. God also does provide. Prayers are answered. Taking care of us in a general sense isn't the same thing as supernatural protection from any and all unfortunate events.
Remember, not many of the Judges, Prophets or Apostles died pleasant or peaceful deaths.
