They use the same ways of making something cute for quite awhile because of one reason, it just fuckken works.
Anime used to be so unique and with so many hours wasted watching it you start to dislike the reasons you actually fell in love with the medium in the first place.
Maybe you hit the brick wall as most people do when they stay to long or simply grow up? I still love it though.
