Academic "best descriptions" of stars and space are bad and probably wrong
real things can be measured, but every measurement tool must be invented, so we can assume that there are real things we have not yet developed external measurement tools for (though you could argue humans intuitively measure things like love or beauty despite the lack of a formal number that we can attach to them with a tool)
