this thread is a mix of Indians promoting basically crystal therapy, schizos perpetuating that, and people who don't know any better giving their expert opinion
>of course, what did I expect?I pretty much guarantee 99% of you can't tell the difference between A440 and A432 tuning. I don't know why the tuning standard was changed, but most orchestras and some classical studio recordings are still tuned to A432. All instruments need to be tuned the same to be able to play in harmony, obviously, and it doesn't really matter which. 2-300 years ago we didn't even have equal temperament tuning and played in systems that made some keys sound perfect or close to perfect intervals, while other keys were basically unplayable. Equal/meantone tuning basically splits the difference of all those imperfections but allows an instrument to play in all the major and minor keys without retuning.
Tuning systems are a far more substantial difference than A440 vs A432 and one which is definitely noticeable even by non-musicians.
