Kelly DiVanna is deep in thought as she makes her way along a hallway in the backstage area of Club Xtacy. Things were going reasonably well for her. She didn’t win her B1 block, but by beating Holly Hope-Again to secure a 3rd place finish, level on points with Cassie Kade herself and with a win over the eventual B block winner, she showed she was no pushover.
And as for life out of the ring, that’s not going too badly either. She was told that Cassie left the country after the B1. Away on business. And with that came an opportunity. For until Cassie returns, she is to be in charge of Club Xtacy. At least, that’s what she was told. She knows enough about what goes on in Club Xtacy to know that’s not entirely true and that she’s still being kept at arms length. After all, the distribution of Obsidian Rush is still being organised by someone else. Probably Cassie herself from a distance, or a high ranking member of her organisation that she trusts enough. Presumably one of the Irish, those would be the ones she’s known longest.
But even with a strong performance in the B1 and an improved position in Cassie’s organisation, Kelly still feels unfulfilled. Like something is missing. Is it because she failed to beat either Cassie or Kasumi in the B1? Perhaps, but she still did at least manage to finish above Kasumi despite the loss. Speaking of Kasumi, where is she?
Before Kelly can wonder any more about Kasumi’s whereabouts, she overhears an Irish voice from behind a door. And what he’s saying sounds very interesting.
