It always boggles my mind how some Norfs actually think that Italy or Spain have invented or accomplished nothing and we were just adventurers and explorers or some shit like that. Like "just a footnote in history", it's so ridiculous. Spain alone invented the first modern submarines and helicopter prototypes, it established the basis of modern neuroscience with Ramon y Cajal and contributed vastly in the field of genetics with the study of RNA and even in modern days with CRISPR.
Even during our peak the iberian nations had like the best naval tech of the time, and even ground warfare with the Tercios, but we are still seen like we have always been incapable of innovating or some false and unfair shit like that.
