Depending on the type of fish you are going for, location matters. Its best to do research on spawning locations and have a license or permit for that location from the game and hunting division ward of your state, town, or county.
Deep sea fishing is dangerous and requires experienced fisherman. Getting stabbed by a sword fish could end up killing you.
The sun fish is cute and stupid, and extremely big. Easy to catch because they just float at the top of the water like idiots. You can just pick it up out of the ocean. Don't do it though because they are kind of endangered. Being easy and stupid prey, its pretty obvious why.
Do not eat or catch exotic fishes with bright colors. Like the poisonous and deadly zebra fish. Most exotic fishes you find on barrier reefs are deadly poisonous. And if its not poisonous, they are extremely boney. You will never de-bone all the skeletons that can stab your neck as you try to swallow it.
There are various catfish, some are bottom feeders. You need to catch the RIGHT catfish species or else you would just end up eating trash.
