>>13770568Well have you seen the film Breakfast at Tiffany's? The tune I used originally came from a song from that, Moon River, written by Henry Mancini who's also like one of my favorite contemporary composers by the way... So what I did is take the score for that and wrote some additional accompaniement like the bass line, that solo at the end - really just everything besides the initial melody.
D...Does that make any sense...?
>>13770615I think those things are too complicated for me anyway. I have a hard enough time controlling the sound without any effects, same with the sustain pedals and such on a piano...
>current tube one sounds way betterI guess it depends what kind of sound you're looking for too. Like if you play very harsh metal or something then a pure tone is the farthest thing from what you want so in that case what matters more is the gain. For me I think I would want less distortion so a tube thingie might be preferable
>post notationI was hoping you might have seen the film too but I described it up top anyway. The one thing to keep in mind about it however is that it's written in 3/4 time - unlike the common 4/4 - and I'm not sure if you have any experience with that yet. Once you have tho, I hope you'll like it as much as I do. I honestly prefer it so it's kind of a shame that waltzes aren't very popular anymore.
Thank you both also. I've never shown anyone that besides my brother so it's nice to hear that it doesn't completely suck...
