>>15597218honestly no, even if i do play more recent games theyre either part of an older series (like quake or id's other games) or made with old design tropes in mind like whatever arena shooter clones get churned out. my vindictive dislike of the last five years of video games is so bad i have trouble getting into anything recent without feeling like im playing a slot machine first and a video game second, or something created by an ai or a committee just to check boxes on a list of genres
elden ring was fun though i liked that. that got rid of my whininess about recent games for a while
