>>21234232Homes in Los Angeles and Orange County here. Both neighborhoods have Halloween decorations up already. Both have block parties and use times like these as chances to catch up with neighbors. During Christmas people will often string their lights together from rooftop to rooftop criss crossing over the street. A lot of neighbors in both places will sit outside with music and barbecue/have drinks to offer the parents while the kids get candy. Tons of Halloween parties. Not sure where i'm gonna stay this year, might stay in LA since you can party all night long without the cops being called, Orange County generally has more liberals and bed shitters that complain if someone is having too much fun/HOA's.
Last year i sat out in my driveway working on cars while blasting my Halloween mix, while a neighbor was blasting his, we had a good old fashioned 90s bump off. Shit was funny. Teasing each other yelling at each other "hey i already played that song, you can skip to the next one" or another neighbor coming up and telling me if i wanted to have a good time just come over to their place. There was someone new that moved in at the end of the street and he came introducing himself to everyone to make friends to hang out with. I should go try and hang with him one day, he might be lonely living in a new area.
