On social media there is a ratio for acceptance...depending on the norms of each platform....although this site can be considered "social media" but the ration is absent due to anonymity..
The nature of bant, being a lulz international board, allows people from different countries to share the funnies with little to no regards to their flag, the presence of the flag itself is mainly for two means.. first is identifying, like a stamp, giving posters from countries like mine more mm... "marked" maybe, second is for the main idea of the board, being international AND random, so, i can post arabic post, you would bear in mind that im posting this and im well aware of it because im arabian, however, the response, if you were on pol, it would get deleted, if you were on int, it would either get deleted or post something related to the way posters recognize said country, on bant however, you can post whatever you want, you can reply in german or post a funny picture with no context, or even spam, this makes posters "blend in" because the atmosphere is not only international, but also, random.
The presence of IDs gives the board a unique atmosphere, giving the funnies that come from them, and overall they give off a "safe" feeling, if you enter the thread, there is only you, your flag is not the only mark, there is a mark for YOU.
Being slow, gives us an idea that not many people desire to post here, for many reasons, mainly because the type of prevalent posters know how to force their posting style, using multiple ways, i recognized that if i got attacked by an outboarder many posters here would not like it, taking it as "one for all, all for one"
