The biggest redpill about the mob, basically any mob, is that it was indistinguishable from any other crew of trashy thugs who run petty scams at the expense of local grandparents until the "mafia movies" started being made. Once those came out, all the trashy Italians revamped themselves to resemble that completely fictitious bullshit aesthetic. Something that remains fictitious bullshit, as all the ceremony and "being made" completely collapses the moment some dago with enough friends starts losing money or gets pressed by the law. If you simply must compare it to pop culture slop then the Sopranos got a few things right.
>italians are the lowest rung of white people and it shows in their home life
>they all band together because individually they are pathetic scum
>the closest thing they can get to "success" is infiltrating companies and hiring their friends (who never actually show and just collect paychecks), or selling shit they stole out of the trunk of a car
>everyone rats the instant there's an opportunity, the government takes better care of you than the mob itself
>the young dumb kids all get sent to die or framed for major crimes
t. father was a "somebody" worth mentioning in that life and actually made it out without going to prison.
