The whole Iran being a threat to us part I personally think is bullshit and just a political offering for blood thirsty Neocons who want to slaughter Persians when they can barely afford decent cars or medical care much less wage a physiological economic geopolitical war against us. At beast they're a threat to some Arab states which isn't saying much since most of those are corrupt absolutist monarchs constantly on the verge of getting wiped out from a revolution, well that goes for Saudi Arabia anyway and who cares about a shitty slaver kingdom run by profligates anyway?
I just hope that whatever is coming it won't be an excuse to try and strip more of our rights away but I'm not naive that's probably exactly what will happen and we have to fight that push. After all whats the point of resisting an authoritarian country like China if we're just gonna become a nightmarish technocracy ourselves.

Make sure to eat pickled beets once in a while and have a couple big bags of rice in case shit gets wild in the future because regardless of if society collapses you'll still be able to cook a pot of rice over a fire in a steel pot. I don't think it will get that bad though but it's always good to be prepared and rice is yummy.
