I'm establishing a principle that each person is fundamentally selfish, and when push comes to shove will only consider their own interests and not those of the collective. murder is hardly excempt from this principle (see the entire human history).
just because you live in a safe first world country, where cops protect everyone doesnt mean there is this biological aversion to murder. civilisation is not a natural product of humanity (see africa)
