>>7098899This is a really sad image.
>>7098947>>7098989>>7099022It sucks. I want the option to get wrapped up in something that lasts longer than a TV episode, but it's rare these days. And you know people have the time and potentially the attention span, because binge watching is the norm these days. You could spend all Saturday or Sunday afternoon reading trashy fiction and no one would say boo. But for some reason we don't set that time aside for gaming anymore, and if you do you're a loser.
My theory is we had a bubble during which all the lonely and shy people in the world figured out a way to use the Internet to meet people and do social things without having to be interesting or have charisma. But all that time vidya was their second choice. What they really wanted to be doing was bragging about their day, getting the thumbs-up from people they know, living in a dream world where their acquaintances are actually their friends, and seeming to be interesting and to have charisma because they look good being boring and awkward. And having lots of sex, which you can now pretend you're doing by having it once in a while and making innuendos constantly.
