I was an atheist before I smoked DMT. I felt that there was no real reasonable way to believe that something divine existed. I was extremely skeptical, but people like Joe Rogan, Terrance McKenna, and Alan Watts, among others, made me feel obligated to experience it based off their accounts.
As soon as I took it I knew it was something greater. It’s hard to tell people about because you can never describe it in comparison to the sheer insanity of it. I’ve take LSD and mushrooms plenty of times, and they never made me believe it this shit. In the DMT experience you see gods who telepathically feed you information and show you objects that are inconceivable and fold in on themselves and have feelings. They are the divine, regardless if they are the creators of the entirety of being. I challenge anyone who is skeptical of the intensity and alien-ness of the experience. It’s a 10-15 minute experience and it will shatter any worldview you have. I know it’s a chemical experience in your head, but consider it. The universe just blew up one day and came from no where, and here we are conscious. Our entire experience is a chemical reaction, and it courses in our blood. I truly believe consciousness is something eternal. All I’m after is the truth, trying to find what underlies this reality. Have intellectual wonder. The entire universe isn’t something so cut and dry
