>>21324301well yeah then i guess i mean it in a way "would you apply wallpapers and stuff to your dream house in which you will live forever until you die" because obviously you wouldn't want to modify a place you rent so drastically and when you grow up you don't just sell your parents' house you move out to some temporary flat and if everything goes well you buy yourself your own house or an apartment and at the start of this conversation i was mentioning exactly this kind of people who are middle class enough to afford their own home yet they still choose to live in it like they're renting it which is just weird and i guess the "the less effort you put into something the less time it would take to get rid of it" idea is exactly what they live by
