In reality, the Pharisees (creators of Orthodox Judaism) hated the Hebrews. They killed Hebrew prophets, persecuted them, made fun of them for being in bondage in Egypt.
When they tried to claim chosen people status, Christ rebuked them and called them children of Satan, serpents, murderers, liars.
Even more liberal, sugarcoated Christian doctrines can't deny that Jesus Christ is the only way and jews need to repent and accept Christ to avoid Hell.
