>>20773127My stories usually just begin in the aftermath of something or in the middle of an event. Over time I’ve found this to work pretty well as a launching point for the story. Create a scene and make it the main focus to create a mood, then as time goes on you can sort of “drive” the narrative to where you want. That way you don’t get bogged down in exposition.
