Language barriers are hot when the language is something distantly Romantic or they're cute but sound angry when speaking. Like when Russian girls can't speak English properly, their attempts are so darn cute. Italian girls too. They usually have big personalities and their terrible english contrasts perfectly with their serious tone. I think Italian girls trying to speak English is cute.
But Jap girls? Not so much, even if they are. It just sounds weird.
