he taught how to craft objects of power to the elves, including to one who became the main forgeron of the rings
so basically from the era when all the rings were forged by sauron+that elf guy before sauron revelead he was evil, to the destruction of the one ring, HOW THE FUCK did he keep losing battles and wars until his total destruction?
