>>10727743So it was the mods. I figured it was the posters themselves who deleted them. They would disappear within a minute.
I have tried discord out a few months ago because I was morbidly curious, but I didn't join any servers. Are they as cancerous as they say? Those screencaps of /r9cute/ or whatever made my stomach turn. There were rumours of pedo rings operating there in the past as well, but that's probably conspiracy theory territory.
In any case, it's quite a shame that even whatsapp has better security than discord.
>and we can also assuume that, with the coming election, the number of users will only increaseThere's not as much hype about this one though. I have thought about that as well, but wouldn't it have happened already? Then again, we still have about half a year left until the elections. Moreover, the donald was removed from reddit, so they might come here once the date approaches.
Hah, speaking of bans, does that ever work? On /bant/ it certainly doesn't.
>lolcows and all thatYes, that's the word I should have used from the start. This is what I get for never proofreading my posts (but you could probably tell that by now).
There is a certain disconnect that the screen provides. For example, I have seen my share of gore in the past and I became "desensitized" to it, or at least that's what I thought. Then I have witnessed a car crash and somebody throwing themselves in front of the metro. These were much tamer than the videos but a lot more traumatising.
