The transition period in my opinion was from 2009-2013, when soiphones had not been widely adopted yet and internet culture with its memes was more or less completely separate from normgroid mainstream culture still
Everything from 2014 has been a total shitshow and since 2020/the plandemic we've entered the fourth turning pretty much.
That's my personal impression, and in summary i'd say the late 90s/very early 2000's was the best time to be alive as a white european by far since there was a kind of perfect balance between stable societal values and the technological level at the time
