Biological determinism is what allows for "free will" to be a thing. It must not be confused with an infinite capacity for self definition (though maybe possible one day), which is determined by biological forces outside of our control. However, a biological force that we clearly do have is the capacity to observe, to think and to select. We can make decisions and the fact that we can debate this is proof that we can analyse this stuff.
That there is a cosmic domino effect going on doesn't disprove this any more than a comedian predicting that a joke will make people laugh disproves the existence of a sense of humour.
The left ultimately reject free will in favour of various forms of social and economic determinism. It is for this reason that they are obsessed with cultural control and social power, because they believe all humans are fundamentally equal and can be moulded by culture. It's for this reason that they try to both explain away the success of genius as well as the failure of stupidity and violence of criminal insanity. That is the ultimate cope and, in practice, like most things on the left, it collapses almost immediately in contact with reality and the biggest violators of ethical conduct ironically tend to be the leftist themselves, hence their famous contradictions.
