It's either a coping mechanism for them to do that so quickly or they simply dont actually love us the way we love them. Maybe a combination of the two. I guess all you can do is learn from this experience and don't let yourself become so vulnerable next time. Harden up. Hell, I just saw my ex-wife a few weeks ago for the first time in a while, had a 3 hour dinner with her and somewhat hoped to rekindle an old flame, but I haven't heard from her since. And I literally feel nothing. I think I'm just too jaded at this point and tend to shift my focus to other things rather than dwell on stuff like that. You'll get there eventually, comes with age I guess. Just remember that most women these days are selfish cunts who usually never mean what they say and always, always play dumbass little mind games.
