I noticed there seems to be more oldfag precense on 4chin lately. Here is my theory as to why:
-2003 to 2008 - Oldfags begin to discover 4chan. Age: high school to college. Throw themselves completely into the site
-2007 to 2009: argueably the golden age of 4chan. Oldfags still here.
-2010 to 2013: anime becomes shit. newfags stream in. Many oldfags start approaching college grad or graduate and go on 4chan less while trying to find post-college work and taking on new explorations outside of the net
-2014: Gamergate happens. 4chan explodes in population. Many oldfags now gone
-2017: Now approaching their 30s, many oldfags feel disallusioned with life. Still no GF. Jobs disappointing. Distanced from younger friends. Oldfags return to 4chan.
Now if we can just get rid of /pol/, /int/, /news/, and /r9k/, we'll be pretty good.
