This new website was created with a heavy emphasis on anonymity, freedom of expression and Japanese otaku culture.
It was theorized that catering to these values would attract a large number of individuals who were more inclined to use magical thinking.
Browning believed that users of this site would be able to influence the real world simply if enough of them believed something into existence in a concept he dubbed "memetic resonance".
It was predicted that eventually the site would have enough people connected in thought that they would have enough influence to elect the United States President.
