συμφοραί και θλίψεις -> calamities and sorrows - not Evil.
God is as responsible for Evil which exists as is your son who has killed someone, the sin lies entirely on the son not the father for he had the free will and chose to do so. The father won't be punished for it.
God gave free will fully knowing the consequences because he loves us, that does not mean that he created Evil, practically "Evil" is anything that is not Godly for nothing exists beyond him.
