As such, /b/ now operates more as a place for porn dumps. I think the best way forward for /b/ would be to just officially make it a porn board and ban spam (allowing /bant/ to officially take up its legacy while keeping the nice that it currently provides).

The first steps would probably be to revise the rules for each board so that the rules listed actually reflect moderation and vice-versa, reopening dialog between the community and the mods, and cracking down on spam/low quality posts where it is not permitted (places like /pol/ and hobby boards especially).
