LV had at least 3 purpose:
-Ritualistic mass murder (two pillars, infront of a pyramide, during harvest festival).Remember the camera and computer with missing hard drive found in Paddock's room?(((They))) were watching it live!
-Pushing laws for reenforcing securiity equipement nationwild (metal detectors...) in all public places but they got sloppy on the execution of the plan and couldn't use it to push this angle without risks to be exposed.
-Making money both by manipulating the stock market with foreknowledge of the event and by investing in companies who produced security equipement that should have been made mandatory .
