Recent estimates say there are trillions of galaxies in the observable space around Earth, perhaps tens of trillions. For reference, our own galaxy contains at least a hundred billion planets. Given the sheer scale of the universe, how can you believe there's no intelligent life out there? In 1000000000000000000000000 planets, there has to be more than one capable of life.
