>>17300607Though I'd still call you good at LoL, going off your words. I don't think there being a group of players that have spent their entire life dedicated to being the best at the game makes you not good for not comparing. I recall feeling that way at some point now that I think about it more.
"Good" still doesn't mean "the very best" in anybody's definition, I don't think. I get what you mean with being only above average, but that's probably just not the case with you.
By the way, it's not like you being aware of the mistakes you make is a bad thing. I feel like being able to notice those slip-ups when you make them is a component of what makes someone a good player, especially in a game mostly about strategy.
The people who make those obvious mistakes or are stuck at being above average, it probably is that way because they're not as aware of their mistakes. Nobody goes without them anyhow. I'd bet even the very best players make constant mistakes but it's just that they're well aware of it when they do and can adapt well enough. Though I have no idea about the LoL scene so take that with a grain of salt.
I think that once you do understand what you should be doing and where you made a slip, if you still mess it up the next time, all it means that you haven't chalked up the playtime to refine your memory to not be making the mistake as you're playing. That's what top-tier players have over you, because they've probably been playing since release, and probably also play the game for a living. Whaddyagonnadoaboutit.
You're probably up towards as good as someone can get without having had spent the better part of their life playing the game. I think it can be said that you're objectively good in that case, lol.
