Except for a bit of extra coverage in certain hard to reach areas, which don't justify the expense of launching hundreds and hundreds of satellites. It's similar to CERN; a monumental project which delivers the most trifling of results. Leading one to wonder if there's an ulterior motive. If they had some sort signals-based technology that could remotely monitor or modify human mood or thought patterns, do you think they'd tell us?
