>>16505988I guess that the melee combat in Deus Ex is just one of the unpolished parts that they didn't have enough time to perfect, so, it's understandable. At least these issues kind of apply to early game more than mid or late, if I'm thinking right.
I imagine a bunch of stuff intended for the melee combat wasn't put in, also. There is the bare fists option they had to take away, which I think was supposed to be fairly in-depth? Might be recalling the wrong things.
Also, I'M RETARDED. I forgot about the existence of the melee combat skill. You can just train that and one hit stunned enemies, and have this be a non-issue.
Uuu. But what I said still applies to early game, and also for players who didn't put in any points into melee. Plus, it would give you an excuse to keep a prod stick around, just in case you had to do melee but had no points invested. I guess that should be rewarded?
Also, I'm thinking now that the stronger melee augmentation is useless, with the presence of the skill system. Wouldn't it be overkill to use that aug after getting even just trained level with melee? Idunno.
