We'd be libertarian/conservative to the core, with a literal treasure trove of natural resources.
We'd shut off the water going to socal and watch them burn, expand the harbor at Coos Bay and get all the shipping coming in to the West coast, and make it easy to start and business and keep the money you earn.
Not to mention the stunning natural beauty of the area.
I almost feel weird telling people how great it is, since I like the low population--lots of room to roam.
